Will You Marry Me? Those four little words are just the start of the blitz of bridal related questions that overcome (and often overwhelm) a bride during the course of planning her big day. Brides will question even the teeniest details as should the napkins be ivory or white? But the biggest question of all….how should I wear my hair on my wedding?

Sure it depends on the type of cut and style a bride has to start, but a great way to decide how to wear your hair is to take a look at your wedding dress. Brides need to take into account the cut of their dress and then create a hairstyle that complements the dress.

Here are some tips:

Sheath: Opting for a body-skimming silhouette? Go big with your hairstyle either by choosing an up-do or ask your stylist to add some va-va voom volume.

 Mermaid: Go retro if you’re wearing a mermaid style gown to evoke old world classic charm. Try a big, loose bun with side swept bangs or dare to don a classic beehive.

Strapless: Let your locks loose if you’re wearing a strapless and leave your hair down, or even half up. Rather then go super straight, add a slight wave to give hair body. If you’re hair short, consider getting extensions. They will help you achieve a stunning bridal look that will last for up to three months after your wedding.

Ball Gown: If you’re opting a Princess style dress that has a full skirt, a tighter hairstyle over loose flowing locks will help accentuate the cut of this dress. I recommend pulling hair back in a chignon or wearing a bun.

Ah, red lips. Known for their perking up powers on otherwise tired faces, wearing a rouge lip color also glamorizes any outfit. It also can enhance the depth of darker skin and punch up a paler pallor. So, what are you waiting for? Most likely, you’re on the fence about choosing the correct red for your coloring and style.

Selecting the perfect scarlet lip shade can be easy if you know your undertones though. In a nutshell, blue or cool undertones look bext in cool hued reds with hints of blue or purple in them. Women with warm undertones can rock, well, warmer shades of red with hints of orange in them. If you’re unsure if you have cool or warm undertones, picture yourself wearing gold or silver jewelry. Which hue of baubles brings out your skin tone more? If you’re ravishing in gold, you’re warm, and, of course, if silver’s better, you’re cool toned.

Next up, is choosing the lip color formulation you want to wear. Generally, creamy lipsticks work well on dehydrated pouts because they add richness. On plumper lips, they also downplay any overly largeness. That being said, gloss works well on the thin lipped because it fleshes them out ( it also works great on the ultra trendy, who won’t mind reapplying their color every now and again). Now, pick your poison and pucker up!
